Happy Belated Halloween.........

I forgot to post these on Halloween, and they have been on my other computer since then. So, in case any of you are missing Halloween already......here's this to tide you over until next year.

Good Girl Remi. Even though Brooks is MORTIFIED that I would do this to you.

We both know you like it :)

Aww, poor Lucy. She looks homeless. It is definitely time to call the groomer.

This was the only way we could get Lucy to stay still. She's cute, but not the sharpest knife in the drawer. Oh, and don't even ask about the 5' stump. That's another post entirely.

Not Sure if I am Trendy Enough......

But I just got this cover for my Blackberry :)
I usually would never buy something so girly, but I really, really like it......

Reason For The Season

Just wanted to let everyone know about this really quick. I am sure most of you read Kelly Stamps' blog anyways, but just in case:

She wrote about this little boy who has cancer and is not expected to make it until Christmas, so his family is celebrating NOW. And all he wants for Christmas is for EVERYONE to send a Christmas Card to his house! Kelly mentioned that we probably all have an old holiday card lying around, so take 5 minutes out of your day to fill it out and make this little boy's Christmas :)

This is what the season is about after all, not money and gifts and presents.
Here is the link to all the information. I hope his mailbox is BURSTING open :)http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=171286393685&ref=mf

Wishful Wednesday!

"I wish' .... I could re-live
'hearing this heart beat for the first time'
over and over again!!!"

Super cliche, I know - but like I have said before, I never even knew it was possible to fall in love with a sound. But it is!

Probably the first time I can honestly say that I had my breath literally taken away :) Every time we get to hear it is AMAZING, of course! But nothing like the first time!

Head on over to The Seattle Smith's to play along!

Public Service Announcement

Thank you girls so much for all your "chapped lip" suggestions. Makes me happy to see how many of you care about my poor chapped lips. Lots of you suggested Aquafor, which, by the way - I love and use all the time.
But this was a desperate situation and Aquafor was just not cutting it - pretty sad when the same stuff that works on a chapped baby bottom isn't working on your lips.
That is a thought I would love to not have ever again.
So I called my bestie, Adrienne - to cry about my lip situation, because she is the only friend I know who totally understands when I say, "My lips are doing that super chapped swollen thing." And then, surprise, surprise - her HUSBAND, Clay, saves the day!
"Tell her to go get some Medicated Burt's Bee's."
I was skeptical, to say the least, but I was desperate, and willing to try anything before I stooped to this - which I seriously pondered, but couldnt find any at CVS (don't judge me.)
And VOILA! THIS STUFF IS MAGIC!
If ever you and your lips are in a desperate situation, I am telling you, this saved my life.
Clay, my lips and I are ever indebted to you!

Tuesday's Random Thoughts..... It is Tuesday, right?

I have a few things swirling around in my head, and since there is nothing very interesting going on in my life right now (besides the human growing inside me)
I thought maybe I would share with you:

1.) I have been trying to think of a good, homemade, "thrifty", gift idea. You know, those gifts you make a bunch of, to give to people you probably wouldn't give a BIG gift to, and to keep around the house for when you get "surprise" gifted by someone....... I used to make homemade hot cocoa mix, and it is still an option, but I just wondered if anyone had any other ideas!

2.) "My lips hurt real bad." (Name that movie.) But for real, this happens to me about once a year, they get chapped, and then I apparantly over do it on the chapstick and end up with these swollen Goldie Hawn lips, that I can only attribute to a lack of oxygen from being overly slathered in some petroleum based product.

Anybody hear what I'm saying? Do you have a cure? I am miserable, but everytime I put something else on to heal the burn ;) as soon as it wears off, they are worse than when I started.

It makes me really sad, and ugly.

3.) I have to make 4 dozen brownies before Friday for my husband to take to work. Enough said.

4.) I found the PERFECT wrapping paper at The Container Store today. It matches my Christmas tree ornaments beautifully, and I am so excited. I have never had "matching wrapping paper" before, and it makes me feel very "together". I like it.

5.) Ever since we found out this baby is a boy, I have not been able to stop buying baby boy things. It is turning into a sickness. I mean for real, today I bought a dozen blue plastic hangers, because they were "so cute" .......yeah, I said blue plastic hangers. This kid officially already owns more Ralph Lauren Polo than I do.

That is pretty much it. Hope you enjoyed this "stream of consciousness" blog today :)

Like Mother, Like Son.....

Guess the thumb-sucking is hereditary.... :)

Introducing, Mason Benton Stoy!
***Disclaimer: So of course it is still pretty early, but this is what I KNEW he was all along, and when the doctor confirmed, we just decided to go with it. The sonographer said she is pretty positive it is a boy, and they usually aren't wrong when they see boy "parts", but that it is still early. So, now that I have covered my butt.....here is Mason :)
